The Roseburg Community Development Department is now accepting applications for Spring 2022 Tourism Grants.
A city statement said the program is funded by the Roseburg Transient Lodging Tax collected within the city. The Economic Development Commission will review all applications and vote on submissions at its July 12 meeting.
Registered businesses, registered 501(c)(3) organizations, other 501(c) tax-exempt organizations and government entities can apply online through June 17 for grants to help fund the promotion of tourism and tourism-related projects in the Roseburg area that draw visitors to the city.
The release says grant applications of up to $5,000 will be considered. Requests for larger amounts must also be reviewed by Roseburg City Council.
Grants are generally given for such things as advertising, publicity or distribution of information to market special events and festivals designed to attract tourists or accommodate them in tourism-related facilities; or capital improvement projects whose primary purpose is to support tourism or accommodate tourism activities.
