ITR deadline today, more than 5 Cr declarations filed on Saturday

5G spectrum auction will resume today, sale nears Rs 1.5 Lakh Cr mark on Saturday
The auction of 5G spectrum capable of delivering ultra-high-speed internet garnered bids worth around Rs 1,49,966 crore on the fifth day of auction on Saturday and bidding is expected to continue on Sunday.
The total value of bids in the telecom spectrum auction, which kicked off on Tuesday, approached the Rs 1.50 lakh crore mark.
“The 5G auction shows that the industry wants to grow, it has come out of the problems and is entering a growth phase. The results of the auction are very good, almost Rs 1,49,966 crore has been committed by the industry to buy spectrum,” Telecoms Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said during a briefing in Mumbai, after a roundtable of telecom investors.
