Lady Series Tennessee vs. Arkansas Softball Flights: Live Stream, Schedules, Radio

Amid a 10-game winning streak and following an 8-4 win over the Memphis Tigers at the Midstate Classic in Columbia, Tenn., just outside Nashville last Tuesday, Tennessee softball returns to Rocky Top for a Weekend Series. It will be their SEC home opener at that.

Karen Weekly’s team, ranked anywhere from No. 17 to No. 11, hosts the Arkansas Razorbacks in town for a three-game series. Last week, UT swept the Missouri Tigers on the road, who are currently ranked No. 16 through No. 19, in a Sunday doubleheader.

On the other side, it’s the SEC series opener for the Hogs in general. Ranked No. 8 through No. 11, they are coming off wins over the Lehigh Mountain Hawks and Maryland Terrapins at the JMU Invitational last weekend. Here’s all the information you need for Tennessee’s second SEC softball series.

Information disseminated

Arkansas hasn’t played since last Saturday as their Sunday game with the James Madison Dukes at the JMU Invitational was called off. Since then, UT has played three games, so they should be more paced for this series.

Swiping Mizzou was a huge test that the Lady Vols passed. That should give them the confidence they need in this series, and if they can take at least two out of three, they should find themselves in the top 10 in some polls next week.

As for the Hogs, they still have a lot to prove. Their only top-25 matchups of the year were two losses to the Washington Huskies at the Puerto Vallarta Collegiate Classic to open the season. This is why, despite their high ranking, they are not even in the top 30 of the RPI.

After that series, Tennessee Softball will visit the Florida Gators next weekend for another three-game series. Arkansas, meanwhile, will visit the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers on Monday before heading home for a three-game series against the LSU Tigers next weekend.
